Details of Services Offered
Maddie G Designs LLC is your comprehensive buying service for all of your home decorating needs. We offer full access to fabric, furniture, lighting, flooring, and accessories that are typically only available to the design trade. We offer pricing that is significantly below the manufacturer suggested retail price. Given the often considerable price variation between various trade showrooms, we shop around – even going directly to the manufacturer when possible – to ensure that we are providing you with our best price available.
When you request a standard quote through our buying service – you must know basic information about the items in which you are interested (e.g. furniture manufacturer, finish and pattern, etc.) However, what do you do if you have a picture you found in your favorite design magazine or blog, but you do not know where to find the products? Save time and let us do the legwork and find the item for you. The scope of work and time-frame will be mutually agreed upon before research commences.
We offer research services at an hourly rate of $50 per hour. A portion of this fee will be credited to your subsequent purchase through our service.
We will provide you with a letter of introduction so that you may gain access to your area’s “To the Trade” showrooms. We will generally call the showrooms in advance of your planned trip, so they know to expect you and are prepared to accommodate your visit. While the showroom will generally answer particular product questions and provide tear-sheets, they will be reluctant to provide you with anything other than retail pricing information. After your visit, we will be happy to provide pricing information on any items in which you have interest.
Do you need to see a fabric or wood sample prior to making a final decision? We will order a sample and have it shipped to you.
The cost of this service is $50. We will, however, refund $40 of this once the sample is returned in good condition. Shipping, if applicable, will not be refunded.

For draperies, we generally only accept orders from the Washington DC metro area. In our experience, it is vital that a professional measurement is taken to ensure that the correct amount of fabric is ordered and that the treatments are fabricated exactly to your specifications. While you are certainly not required to use our services for installation, it is highly recommended.
We also offer wholesale priced workroom services for pillows, duvets, table skirts, crib bumpers, shower curtains, etc. to any area. Please contact us for a quote.

In addition to the higher end, custom flooring showrooms we provide access to through the design centers, in many areas we also offer access to a local “To the Trade” wholesale flooring showroom. These showrooms stock more basic flooring choices, such as pre-finished and unfinished wood, wall-to-wall carpet, laminates and tile. This is probably where your local installer purchases product.
At these showrooms, we are generally able to offer our customers 20% off retail prices on wood flooring, tile and laminate. Similarly, we are able to offer approximately 30% off retail prices on wall-to-wall carpet, carpet runners and area rugs. As our client, you will be able to access the showroom to view flooring options, check out samples, and place orders directly through the showroom. We can also provide a list of preferred vendors for measure and installation services.
