One of the biggest downers these days is checking stock and hearing the dreaded words….”BACKORDER.” It happens a lot these days…as I suspect companies are staying lean and printing on demand to weather the current economic environment. I understand, but it still is not fun.
This leads me to this great paper from Hinson….the “Fireworks” design by Albert Hadley. I have featured this paper (and its fabric counterpart) on my blog before (here and here)…..

I actually have plans to use this paper in Maddie’s room….above 5 ft high wainscoting that is to be installed. In any case, I have a sweet customer who needs 3 rolls for a bathroom remodel and she is willing to wait it out. She loves the paper so much she is going to paint the bathroom until the paper is in.
Here is the catch, the mill requires 25 firm orders in order to run the paper. There are currently no other orders out there other than hers. So, do you love this pattern? Have you been waiting for a sign that this is the time to order? If so, let us know. The paper comes in 5 yard rolls (27″ wide) and is $79.20 per roll.
November 2011 update–While we did already purchase this wallpaper earlier this year, it is now available for purchase in smaller quantities….so if you are still wanting to place an order feel free to contact me.
Interested in how it works? Contact me?

That may be a bit of a wait! I’m now on the third month of waiting for a simple grasscloth! I’m hoping it proves to be worth the wait! Janell

i need to paper stella’s bathroom and it’s going to take a lot of paper. installing wainscotting is such a great idea to break it up. why didn’t i think of that? i found peter fasano’s stellae paper (appropriate name, hu?) that i’m considering.
also, i wish i had an answer for you re: carpet but it’s the one thing we don’t handle so nobody had a good rec. i hope you’ve found one. xo
March 30th, 2011 at 4:36 amI flat out adore this paper! Infact, I used this in my mother in law’s apartment bathroom two years ago…I even have a few rolls left, I should check to see how much, but there was no problem ordering it…I wonder why the policy has change? If anything, the market was worst in 2009 when I used it?
March 30th, 2011 at 7:10 amLove this paper, a friend did this in a small breakfast room and at first I wasn’t sure about that spot as I had helped her select it for a guest room then she said she wanted it somehwere that she could see it everyday and into the breakfast room it went..and boy did it have impact! It looks amazing….i would say if your heart is set on it..its worth the wait!

March 30th, 2011 at 10:09 amDear Zhush,
Could you find out how many rolls you have left? I am going to re-measure my bathroom, just to make sure three rolls is what I need. Maybe we could work something out where I could purchase it from you through Maddie G Designs. I love this wallpaper and I don’t mind waiting. But there are no pending orders and I don’t want to wait years for it. Thanks. Deborah
March 30th, 2011 at 4:09 pmOh, i wish I had a place I could use this right now!!! Just by putting it out there, I’m sure word will get around. Fingers crossed that a few others are just waiting for that exact fabric. Good luck!!!
