We are moving right along on the home renovation front. In fact, most of the electrical and plumbing legwork has been done and currently they are doing drywall/taping and texturing. Here are some photos to show the progress.

Old Paper Gone, Ready for New
This week. the new flooring is being laid in remodeled areas and in the upstairs closets where there is currently carpet. We also had to take up a good portion of the kitchen floor as the floor wasn’t level when we widened the wall between the kitchen and family room so some work had to be done to get everything level. We are also waiting on our second set of revisions from the cabinet guys….we have figured out how everything needs to function and the style of the island…. Also in the kitchen, I finally committed to a kitchen backsplash last week and am really excited.
We are going to do a light grey 3 x 6 subway field tile (first photo below) from Ann Sacks with a decorative tile at the bottom (see below, but in same grey as shown above it). I love it!
We are also waiting on drawings from the iron guy, as the stairway I want cannot be done exactly as envisioned due to code restrictions….so we are trying to find the best way to make my vision work. We shall see. So, there you have it….progress being made. Still lots and lots to do but it is really exciting to see our visions starting to take form.
