I’ve been starting to think about the foyer as we have a small wall just inside the door that needs some attention. Here is the foyer as it has pretty much been since we moved back in at the end of February.

I finally had the carpet installer out to measure for our stair runner and an order is in process. This is what I have chosen.

The wall that needs attention is just inside the door to the right. Here are some inspiration shots I’ve collected.
I am a sucker for symmetry so the above really pleases me. Probably a little too French for my foyer as I’ve got a more modern lighting fixture in the space. But, I love the stools under the console….and well, just about everything in the image.
I’ve loved this foyer forever. If my space hadn’t been too small I would have used that Oly Pipa Chandelier in a heartbeat. But here I am liking the fun of the footed stool under the sleek console. And you know me and blown glass lighting…
I love this vignette….the oversized round mirror and layered accessories. And do you notice the Manuel Canovas wallpaper also used in the Bear Hill interiors image above. Two completely different looks. By the way, my client still has 5 rolls available if you are looking for some.
I love the placement of the art over the console and how this space mixes traditional and more contemporary accents.
I like the arrangement here…even if the style wouldn’t really fit my home. Same as the below….so cheerful. And I have always been a fan of the Bungalow 5 chest…

Finally, while the above loft (which happened to be in my old neighborhood in Arlington, VA) is nothing like my current home…I love the vignette on that World’s Away “Studly” console. And, I happen to have that mirror. I really like the topiaries too.
Any of these strike your fancy?
Have a great weekend!
