I’ve got decorating on the brain these days…..and namely the kids’ rooms. They have waited so long to have their rooms done….and each has built in’s over their bedroom desks. I think finding the drapery fabric and furnishings for a space can often be the “easy” part of the design. It is the accessorizing that I think is often most neglected and difficult. Yet, it can be the difference between an “in process” and “done” look. This month I rounded up some favorite accessories for completing a little one’s bedroom / nursery / playroom.
To take a closer look and see the sources (all retail) behind these products, hop on over to Houzz.
It is nearly impossible for me to list all of the vendors I work with on my list of manufacturers. And, if I don’t have an account I can usually set one up pretty easily. You never know until you ask. Recently, I had a past client email me to see if I could help her purchase DL Rhein pillows. As it turned out, I did have an account set up with a company that manufactures both DL Rhein and Trina Turk Pillows. Take a look at some of their offerings.
These images are just a small sampling of what is available through this vendor. They sell embroidered cocktail napkins, tea towels, rugs, pillows and seasonal merchandise. So what is the moral here? You never know until you ask.
I thought I would start using the weekends to post “business” related posts such as adding new items to Maddie’s Market, talking about specials, etc. I really hate to do these kinds of posts on a regular basis as I don’t want my blog to feel like a sales tool. Instead, the reason I blog is because I love it and just love sharing inspiration, learning from those who choose to comment, and generally just love this outlet to share with so many like minded and talented individuals.
So, a couple of “business” items for today. First, did you see that One Kings Lane is selling Worlds Away occasional tables at the moment? Of course, I had to check them out to compare their pricing to mine. I have sold a fair bit of Worlds Away furniture and without going into the boring details of how shipping furniture in this industry is the biggest pain in the neck, I am excited because my new rep here in Dallas has helped me to be able to drop ship with white glove delivery. This means that the furniture can ship directly to you…and I don’t have to find an intermediate receiver. None of this matters to the end user except to say that my prices are even lower than they were previously, because there isn’t an additional layer of handling. (By the way, I pass shipping on to clients…..I am not making a profit off these costs.)
Anyhow, if you compare the OKL pricing on the Worlds Away occasional tables to online stores that carry the same pieces they are offering up some great deals. I can tell you that my everyday pricing is at or below the OKL pricing. So, next time you are looking for a piece, contact me to see what kind of deal I can offer.
Here are a few of my favorites from Worlds Away. Click here to see their full product offering.
Many of these pieces I’ve seen in person in the showroom. What I love about Worlds Away is that their products look and feel great, but are also priced really well.
And finally, be sure to check out our updated specials. Often various vendors and showrooms will offer incentives on particular items. When I know about these I try to list them on my promotions page. I pass the savings directly onto my clients. Currently, Niermann Weeks is running a special on their French Club Chairs. They are not cheap, but if you have been considering them….this could help a tad!
So, there you have it. Hope you have a great weekend. I’ll be back on Monday.
