My ~~obsession~~ love for the Niermann Weeks Annecy chairs are well documented here on my blog.

Last fall, the folks at Niermann Weeks posted on Facebook that they were selling off some showroom floor samples. Just off the cuff, I commented that I’d love to see some Annecy Chairs in that sale. (Because you know, when you are 8.5 months pregnant and about to move…..you need to buy furniture!)

In any case, Eleanor Niermann saw my comment and emailed me. They didn’t have any floor samples to sell….but they did have a few frames they’d be selling in their annual sample sale (which was right at my due date–no way I could make it). She offered to let me buy them and was even kind enough to hold on to them until I figured out what fabric I wanted to use for upholstery.

Long story short, I still do not know where these will go in the home and I think they were getting sick of waiting on me and gave me the much needed gentle nudge to get moving on my fabric decision. So, I finally popped over to a local fabric warehouse here and found a very affordable (e.g. $10 per yard) fabric that pulls the cranberry and greens from the curtains I posted about yesterday.

I just got a call yesterday from my local receiver that my chairs have arrived. I am so excited to see them! I feel like it is Christmas morning and I am 3 years old. (Sad, but true!)

Sorry for the slow posts around here. My parents have been in visiting and we’ve been busy, busy! Just thought I would pop in today with a quick post.

Do you remember the rug Jay Jeffers designed for the Metropolitan Home Modern By Design Showhouse in 2009?

After the showhouse, the rug was relocated to his home.

I actually had my own version made in a custom size for our old dining room. (This photo was taken for our real estate listing…the room was never finished before we moved.)

Both rugs were fabricated by Mark Nelson Designs. Well, until tomorrow Jeffers’ rug is for sale on One Kings Lane for a really great price. It is a great deal if you like the look.

Last Fall, I received a postcard in the mail from a company called “Off the Floor Now.” This company enables the direct purchase of high-end residential furnishing models and discontinued textiles. Launched in October 2009, it was created by the founders of Dessin Fournir. Currently, they have products available from the following lines: Classic Cloth, Dessin Fournir, Gérard, Kerry Joyce, Nancy Corzine, Palmer Hargrave and Rose Cumming. While they have no plans to open a brick and mortar showroom, they do plan to expand their lines represented over time.

A while back I posted about this Dallas home designed by Mary Ann Smiley. I was mostly drawn to the drapes (which are now in my dining room) and the beautiful Dessin Fournir chairs.

Unfortunately, the chairs were a bit rich for my budget. And, while still pricey, here they are from “Off the Floor Now” for well below the designers’ net price.

So, if you are in the market for high end furnishings or textiles from any of the above mentioned manufacturers, it is worth setting up a free account with this company to see how their pricing compares. I’ve got my eye on these Nancy Corzine Dynasty Armchairs.
