A Little Bit Rock-n-Roll

Recently, while on a fabric search for a customer, I came across a unique fabric.  At first glance, it looked fairly traditional.  But, upon closer inspection, did I see correctly?  A skull?  Interesting…..

I immediately wanted to see more, so I emailed the showroom and asked for more info.  I set up an account and have catalogs and samples on the way.  In the meantime, they were kind enough to send me some images from this unique line.

The designer, Philip Barlow,  is from Atlanta.  The showroom describes his line below.

Classic rock themes and contemporary refinement provide the basis for the unique like of designer décor. With a passion for music and an eye for design, Barlow delivers the perfect addition to any space.

Bradley-Hughes out of Atlanta has the exclusive on the Philip Barlow fabric line.  A bit of googling reveled that Joni over at Cote de Texas did an great interview with Michelle Bradley, the design company owner, here back in 2008.

What do you think of the fabric used on chairs?

And, here it is again on the Bradley-Hughes “Mick” chair in the corporate offices of Spanx in Atlanta, which were designed by Bradley.  To see more photos from this project, visit DC by Design.

The above pattern is called “Macabre.”  It is available in three different colorways- charcoal, chocolate and silverlavendar.   But, there are more.

So, what do you think about this line of fabric?  I am loving the edgy take on some fairly traditional patterns.  I also love that they offer three colorways, so you can go bold or keep it subdued.  Most of all, I like that the pattern is unexpected.

The above fabrics are offered by the yard, or as pillows (22″ by 22″, 50/50 down fill).  The fabric is a linen/cotton blend.  For any questions on the line, including quotes or ordering, please do not hesitate to contact us.
