Just two quickies to share today. I’ve got the kids’ bedrooms on my mind.

I recently ran across these pillows in the Serena and Lily Catalog and am loving the idea of using these in a nursery. In fact, I don’t have a pillow in Harry’s glider at the moment and I curse the lack of one each time he and I settle in. I may just have to order one of these in connection with his nursery design….

Also, over the weekend I received an email that Massuco Warner Miller has launched an “a la carte” service. And, look what is for sale there….

Does this look familiar? Recall their now infamous room using cameo pillows?????

I’ve got some ideas for Maddie’s room (details to be shared soon) and I want to incorporate a cameo or two into the room. These might fit the bill.

Living Room Inspiration....

In our new home, the living room opens to the family room via glass paned pocket doors.

From my current living room, the pink silk sofa and the drapery fabric will stay (in some capacity). But, I want the space to be cozy and usable since it opens to the family room. So, I’ve been thinking of recovering a sofa in a rich brown silk velvet. Or, perhaps swivel chairs over by the fireplace.

Recently, I ran across this image from design firm Massucco Warner Miller. I am loving the color combo and it’s given me the confidence that I haven’t lost my mind.

I love the cover of the May 2010 House Beautiful magazine. The room was designed by Melissa Warner of Massucco Warner Miller.

I especially love the zebra print linen chair. The fabric is from Duralee and comes in 4 different colorways, and is available with a water repellent finish.

And, while not a bargain, the price is reasonable at under $45 a yard. I have not used zebra in my own home, although I still like the look. (I swear every house I’ve looked at in my Dallas real estate search has a zebra rug or two!) I think this subtle fabric has staying power. What do you think?
