Do you remember a long time back I fell in love with a fabric and put out an SOS to find the source?

I get a fair number of emails asking if I’ve found the fabric….and a bunch of people pinned it on pinterest. Originally, I wanted to use the fabric in Maddie’s room….but found a solid alternative and am dressing it up with some fun trim. In any case, a couple of weeks ago I actually found the source of the fabric so I thought I would share. It is Robert Allen’s “Bold Sconce” in Peacock.

In case you are interested, the fabric comes in four colorways.

I had a few moments to flip through the November issue of House and Home last night. My eye was immediately drawn to the rug in this room. Neutral, yet fresh and current looking. Love it!

I am always on the look-out for good neutral paint colors and think the Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter (HC-172) looks like one I’ll have to check out.

I also like how the furniture is kept neutral with pillows adding a bit of color and texture to the space. Finally, I’ve been looking for linen fabric for the inner-side of Harry’s crib bumper and like the Robert Allen fabric used on the drapes in this space. It comes at a better price point than some of the other fabrics I’ve sourced for this project….which always makes me happy. I’ve just ordered memos/samples so we will see if I am now one step closer to getting the bumper and drapes figured out. Fingers crossed.

And back to the rug, gotta figure out where I could use this!

Robert Allen and Sherwin Williams Paints add DwellStudio "Design Studio" Packets

I blogged about the “Design Studio” packets that pair Robert Allen fabrics with coordinating color palates from the Sherwin Williams paint line here. And, you may recall that Robert Allen and DwellStudio recently announced an exclusive collection available through Robert Allen.

Well, Robert Allen has recently added seven new design packets offering inspiration on how to pair the DwellStudio fabrics with coordinating colors from Sherwin Williams. See all of the packets here. Below are a couple of my favorites.

I love the inspiration these packets provide, both in helping with pairing the fabrics, but also in the assistance with color selection/inspiration.

I just discovered, via 6th Street Design School, that they have a blog where they feature real spaces using their products under the tag “How do you Dwell?”. Tons of nursery inspiration to be found, for sure.

Cane Chair Love....

I have recently been working on organizing my office. One of these organization projects has been to sift through my stacks and stacks of shelter magazines….getting them organized and put away. Of course, being the addict I am I’ve had to leaf through them as I go along, making the project take much longer than it needs to take.

The below image is from Beautiful Homes Magazine, Winter 2007. I love the simplicity of this room. And, I especially love the cane backed chairs.

The chair is the Beaufort Chair by Hickory Chair. The chair cushion is “Carlton Velvet” by Robert Allen. This 100% cotton velvet is available in 57 colorways. The back cushion is “Candlewood” by Stout Brothers & Co. and is available in four colorways.

I now have these chairs on my list of potentials for our family room. We have a large sectional and these would be a nice way to break up the upholstery and give some variety.
