It is about to get fun around here....

Yes, the day has finally come.  Can you believe we moved cross country less than a year ago?  I knew I wanted to spruce our house once we settled….but had no idea how much…..

So, we finally bit the bullet and signed a lease for an apartment.  I’ve got about a month to move everything out of our house (deciding what to sell/donate, what goes into storage and what we will need for 4+ months).  Surprisingly, I am not too overwhelmed yet…..I feel excited and fortunate that all of my dreaming for this house is going to come true.  (Of course, the reality of the budget has kept a lot of my “dreams” in check but that is life, right?)

I do plan to keep on blogging during the interim….it may just be a little more sporadic.  And, I plan to keep my buying service up unless it becomes too much.  I’ve been fortunate to have a handful of larger loyal clients and at a minimum I’ll continue to work with them throughout this time period.

So, please forgive me if I am slow to post or respond to emails.  I am checking and I will get back to you….just maybe not as quickly as I usually do.

Pretty Paisley....

Never in a million years would I have thought to put this paper on the ceiling….

But, I love it.  What about you?

There she is again.....

My love for the Urban Electric Chisholm Hall lantern has been well documented on my blog (see here and here).  I have two on order for a customer and I know they will be worth the wait.  I recently spotted this favorite of mine again and I still love them.

Beckwith Interiors

They are available in a myriad of finishes….but one the the standard options is any Benjamin Moore paint color.  Two of these are a strong front runner for over our island in the new kitchen.

What do you think, do you like them?

Limestone Love....

I’ve mentioned before that I am thinking of using grey limestone on the perimeter of our kitchen, with marble going on the island.  Kitchen cabinetry to be white possibly with a very subtle wash/striae….and island to be grey.  Our builder took a photo I had sent her of some stone I saw and was able to narrow down what it could be.  And then I started googling and found this image…..

Yep, I am in love!

What would you use in your kitchen if you could start over?

Harry's Room Coming Along...

I’ve made some progress recently for one of my favorite clients….

I know I am letting this room drag on and on…..but I have two little sneak peeks for you.  Excuse the iPhone photography….but it is better than nothing, eh?

Stark Logo Carpet has arrived and is perfect!

And the roman shades have been installed.

Artwork is being framed, a crib bumper is on order and a chair for the desk is in the works.

Almost there!

Seeing Double, Farrow & Ball Rosslyn Wallpaper

I am a huge fan of this wallpaper, available in 48 colorways.  I am thinking of using this paper in our Master bedroom or bath (if we ever make it there….so much to do!)

The lavender colorway would be fabulous in a nursery, don’t you think?  Maddie’s wallpaper is sitting in her closet waiting to be hung….or else this would be a contender for her room!

Something about this pattern is understated and calming to me.  Do you like it?
